Nature is all around us. Even before there were books to inform us about plants, nature has helped us survived and over come obstacles that have gotten in our way. Right now, fruits and vegetables are crucial for the human body. Berries are very helpful for our heart. Especially the blueberry. And the blueberry may help us survive for a longer time period.

Eating the right amount of fruits and vegetables will help us get healthier and stronger the more we eat them regularly. And the blueberry, well, there is something special about the blueberry and its family. The blueberry may help prevent cardiovascular diseases (heart disease) from the human body. A new study tells us that blueberries may reduce the risk of heart disease. “No one has to tell you that blueberries are good for you. Now, a new study adds to the mounting evidence that the fruit may improve heart health.” Researchers wanted to see how effective blueberries are to the human body, so they tested humans by making three groups: one that ate a cup of freeze-dried blueberry powder per day for 6 months, another that ate 1/2 cup of whole blueberries per day, and the last group didn’t eat any blueberries or blueberry products. Then they would wait for the time period to be over. After the time period was over, they tested each group to see how the test results came out. “Our test showed that 1 cup of blueberries per day for six months generally improved the vascular environment by increasing the responsiveness of arteries to [produce] changes in blood flow, improving the flexibility of systemic arteries, and at the same time, increasing the concentration of good lipids and lipoproteins, like HDL, which removes potentially harmful fats form the bloodstream and arteries,” from these tests, researchers could see that blueberries are very helpful for the human body and can help prevent diseases from the heart.

Blueberries contain a special plant compound called anthocyanin which gives the blueberries its blue color and many of its health benefits including preventing health diseases. Consuming blueberries decreases the risk of obesity, diabetes, heart disease, and overall mortality. “Although more research is needed, blueberries are strongly linked to various different elements of healthful
living.” This source gave me all of this information.

1. Maintaining Healthy Bones

“Blueberries contain iron, phosphorous, calcium, magnesium, manganese, zinc, and vitamin K.” These minerals help the bone become stronger then they were before. Maintaining your bones healthy and strong is important to the human because without strong bones, your bones would have trouble supporting your body and they could get fractured easily.

2. Lowering Blood Pressure

Blue berries are free of sodium, so blueberries help with your blood pressure. “They contain potassium, calcium, and magnesium. Some studies have shown that diets low in these minerals are associated with higher blood pressure.” Also consuming blueberries for six weeks doesn’t affect true metabolism system or your blood pressure. If your blood pressure is too high, then your more likely to get a stroke, heart disease, heart attack, and kidney failure. So it is important that you take care of your blood pressure because even if you don’t have blood pressure right now, you could develop it if you don’t take care of your body now.

3. Managing Diabetes

“The researchers found that consuming three servings per week of blueberries, grapes, raisins, apples or pears reduced the risk of type two diabetes by seven percent.” Eating blueberries or any other fruit that is listed here will reduce the risk of type two diabetes by 7% and help you live a longer and healthier life. Diabetes is very dangerous if you don’t take care of your body. Eating blueberries can help manage your diabetes (if you have diabetes) so that it won’t get any worse.

4. Protecting against heart disease

“The fiber, potassium, folate, vitamin C, vitamin B6, and phytonutrient content in blueberries supports heart health. The absence of cholesterol from blueberries is also beneficial to the heart. Fiber content helps to reduce the total amount of cholesterol in the blood and decrease the risk of heart disease.” Blueberries have so many nutrients that will prevent heart disease from the human body. As we have seen from these four benefits, blueberries are very important to our body if we eat them regularly. They can save us from death from certain conditions and they can prevent us from getting them and they can keep us healthy if we eat them regularly.

Eating blueberries by themselves can be good, but for people who don’t like to eat them plain, there are many ways to put them in our daily diets. “Blueberries are available fresh, frozen, freeze dried, and in jellies, syrups, and jams. Be sure to check the label of frozen and dried blueberries for added sugars. When selecting jellies or jams, choose all-fruit spreads without added sweeteners, juices, or fillers.” Blueberries can be found in a lot of products and everyday foods.

“Here are some quick tips on including blueberries in meal options:

• Use blueberries as fresh toppings on oatmeal, waffles, pancakes, yogurt, or cereal for an extra burst of flavor and nutrition in your breakfast.
• Whip up a quick and easy smoothie using frozen berries, low-fat milk, and yogurt.
• Fold blueberries into muffins and sweet breads.
• Blend them in a food processor with a little water, as part of a fresh syrup to top desserts or breakfast foods.”

There may not be many products that have blueberries, but there are countless options that involve blueberries in everyday meals for the human bodies. This means that there are countless options for meals with blueberries if you don’t like eating blueberries by themselves. These are only basic recipients that you can put blueberries into. There are countless options that involve blueberries in them. You can even come up with recipes of your own! You could put blueberries in your ice cream or frozen yogurt, you could some in your cereal or oatmeal to make it more healthier, put one or two blueberries in an ice cube to give your water a bit of flavor when the ice melts,

Allergies can be very dangerous if someone eats the wrong food. It could even cause death! Many people have allergies to blueberries, and are unable to eat them. If you have allergies to blueberries there are alternative fruits. These fruits won’t be as good as blueberries, but they will help you if your allergic to them. These fruits are blackberries, plums, red grapes, raspberries, cherries, and strawberries. These are good alternative fruits if your allergic to blueberries.

Blueberries are crucial to the human body, and blueberries are important to us because they can save us and keep us healthy. But overall natural has helped us survive throughout the many years of evolution that humans have passed. Blueberries, in general, are amazing because they might be the key to live a longer, happier, and healthier life in the future.
