On Thursday, April 28th five members of our Beatty Chess Team will be attending the 2022 National Middle School Chess Championship in Grapevine, Texas.
These students have studied with Mr. Hanley, U.S. Grand Master and will represent our school.
They will be departing Beatty on Thursday, 4-28 at 9:30 am.  and returning to Beatty on Monday 5-2 at approximately 1:30pm.
During the championship they will play 7 rounds with games lasting up to 4 hours each.  There are students from all 50 states attending the National Championship.
We are traveling with five students from Buena Park Middle School’s Chess Team.  Both teams will be competing for their respective schools.
An enormous “Thank You” to Ms. Musurlian, Mr. Bagger, and Dr. Miramontes for making this happen.
Please wish our team the best.
