Spider-Man, 20th Anniversary!

Everyone in the world loves Spider-Man. This year is Raimi’s Spider-Man’s first appearance on the big screen. People loved and enjoyed the adventures of the web swinger in theaters. Yes, we are talking about “Spider-Man” (2002), the first Spider-Man that got everyone’s attention. Spider-Man is very popular among teenagers, and little kids. Now try to picture Tobey in the next animated movie, Spider-Man: Across the Multiverse. Because as we expect, he is rumored to be in it.

The one above all

The creator of this amazing character is none-other than Stan Lee, who created most of the Marvel characters. Because he was the main creator of Marvel, Marvel Studios decided to make him a cameo in most of the MCU movies.

Here is an Amazing Fun Fact: Did you know, he made a version of Batman for DC? This is because DC invited him and gave him the permission to do a comic about Batman, of course, he had to make it in his own way. Anyway, if you want to read it, the name is “Just imagine…” by Stan Lee.

Enough about Stan, let’s get into “The Human Spider”

Before Kevin Feige’s universe, even before Marc Webb’s universe, it was the Raimi-verse who started it all.

One hero changed productions, forever.

According to a recent and random poll, most kids in higher grade levels don’t seem to have time to enjoy this piece of art by Mr. Raimi. Most of them like the modern Spider-Man (Tom Holland) or even The Amazing  Spider-Man (Andrew Garfield). But overall, people enjoy the character of Spider-Man. The spidey-fans or marvel-fans who saw the original movie in theaters, were hyped that it has been 20 years since it was first released on the big screen. Many of the audience celebrate this by watching the first three movies and remembering themselves watching it as a kid in theaters. Maguire’s Spider-Man has won most of our hearts, and it will stay that way for a long long time.

How it impacted society

This 20th anniversary of the 2002 wall-crawler has made fans happy to see that their childhood hero still lives in everyone’s life. Spider-Man is a role model for many teens. The teen featured in Spider-Man is a nerd who didn’t have many friends and would always get bullied. Yet, when a radioactive spider bit him, he gained the powers to become a hero (even though people didn’t know his secret identity). This goes to show that anyone can become greater than they were before.

“With great power, comes great responsibility.”

This sure is an iconic line from the character. This line was first said in the comics by the narrator after the first battle Spider-Man had. But later on, the actor Cliff Robertson, aka Ben Parker, improvised and said the iconic line to Peter.

This is a classic line from the original movie. This line can impact the way teens think about themselves. ‘“With great power comes great responsibility”’ has a simple meaning; if you have the ability to do something, make sure that you do it for the good of others.”

How people celebrate this 20th Anniversary

By the way, don’t think this is a tradition or something, not even a holiday, this is just a normal anniversary for one of the greatest characters. So this is what most of the fans do when the day arrives. According to Spider-man Fandom, Spidey-fans get some pizza and enjoy the trilogy. They do this in a symbol of respect to the one and only, Tobey Maguire. Meanwhile, other fans just like to eat hot-dogs while walking down the street with the song “Raindrops keep falling in my head” by BJ Thomas in the background. And there are other fans who like to go crazy, they buy a nice suit and dance to the best song a human could ever think of, People get up and drive your funky soul” by James Brown (Such an amazing song).

In conclusion, no matter what Spider you’re talking about. They will always be there swinging through the city. Now, you should probably start heading to the nearest Hot-dog place or the nearest pizzeria so you could enjoy this amazing masterpiece
